After wrapping up our time shooting in Las Vegas, we decided to lean all the way into the adventure. What started as a spontaneous idea quickly turned into a full Las Vegas to Los Angeles Road Trip Photoshoot experience. We set our alarms for 5AM and hit the road for a 4.5 hour drive to Los Angeles, California, ready to see where the day would take us.

We dedicated the whole day to being tourists and just taking it all in. First stop was Dodgers Stadium, which was a must for my husband. From there we made our way to Crypto Arena to see the Kobe statue, something that meant a lot for Shauna’s son. We continued on to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, took a quiet and reflective stop at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and then shifted gears completely with a visit to the Museum of Death. Even though this part of the trip was more about exploring, it all became part of our Las Vegas to Los Angeles Road Trip Photoshoot story.

Somewhere in between all of that we grabbed food at Trejo’s Tacos, which absolutely lived up to the hype, and wrapped up the night at the Santa Monica Pier. We arrived after dark, and the whole place was glowing with lights, energy, and that classic California coastline vibe. It was the perfect way to end a full day and added another layer to our Las Vegas to Los Angeles Road Trip Photoshoot adventure.

We stayed just outside of LA that night, and the next morning we took our time heading back toward Las Vegas. Instead of rushing, we made it part of the experience. We stopped at a small ghost town, explored for a bit, and then found ourselves surrounded by some of the most beautiful desert scenery. Of course, we could not pass that up, so we turned it into another photoshoot.

And then we found it. An abandoned water park sitting in the middle of the Mojave Desert off I15, completely taken over by time and vandals. We spent a few hours there creating something incredible, turning decay into art and using the harsh desert light to our advantage. It ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our Las Vegas to Los Angeles Road Trip Photoshoot.

By the time we made it back to Las Vegas, it was time to say our goodbyes. Shauna was heading to the airport to fly back to Pittsburgh, and I had one more evening in the city. It was the perfect ending to a trip that was equal parts adventure, creativity, and just saying yes to the moment.
